Bright Spark Power is powering Australia’s future through supplying Australian Made electricity to households and businesses across New South Wales and South-East Queensland.
Founded in 2017 in Sydney, New South Wales and priding itself on its complete Australian Made, owned and operated credentials, Bright Spark Power aims to make energy simple, straightforward and sustainable for its customers.
Bright Spark Power Chief Executive Officer, Arran Coughlan, said the company centres its focus around providing its clients with the highest quality customer service, with a strong motivation to meet the demands for cleaner, more affordable power.
“Bright Spark Power is truly Aussie, and that is a really important component of how we operate,” said Mr Coughlan. “We aim to embed our Aussie credentials into all we do, whether that is our commitment to working with local suppliers or our guarantee that absolutely all aspects of the business are completely operated in Australia; everything we do is done under the guise of ensuring every single person who deals with us has the most optimal experience.”
A core purpose of the Bright Spark Power brand is its determination to give back to the local community, illustrated through its sponsorship of various initiatives throughout New South Wales, including the company’s sponsorship of Squash NSW.
“We want our customers to know that we're committed to investing in the communities in which we operate. That might involve major sporting or charity sponsorships or helping out with a local fundraiser. It might mean purchasing things from small local businesses instead of large multinationals, or it might mean spending days on the road to meet our customers face to face - we do whatever it takes to show our commitment to our local communities,” said Coughlan. "We want to choose Australian, and we want to choose local in order to do our best in giving back to the communities that have shown us their support."
Bright Spark Power has illustrated an emphasised commitment in supporting local business through the brands unique Australian Business Procurement Guidelines. The guidelines work to define and determine supplier and partner selection whenever the company is undertaking activities that require specialist support and capabilities. The four key pillars of Bright Spark’s sourcing policy are sourcing locally owned suppliers, using Australian produced materials, selecting smaller independent business and investing within the communities they operate
Further to its focus on supporting local, a founding principle of the Bright Spark Power brand is to drive demand for renewable electricity, pursuing a goal of achieving 100% renewably sourced electricity by 2030.
“Through the deployment of Smart Meters, Bright Spark Power customers have access to near-real time data on their electricity usage and peak demand periods. Building on this knowledge, we have designed and launched our Aussie Car and Home electricity plan, with optional electric car charger installation. By ensuring that our customers have access to in-home and business EV charging, paired with our Aussie Car & Home plan, customers can now charge their vehicles during peak renewable generation periods whilst also benefiting from lower prices during those periods,” said Coughlan.
Leveraging the power of the green and gold kangaroo logo across customer communications, the Bright Spark Power website and other marketing materials, the team at Bright Spark can easily communicate its Aussie credentials to consumers.
Coughlan said, "Prioritising Australian suppliers, and promoting Australian made, owned and operated, is part of our DNA here at Bright Spark Power. The Australian Made logo provides customers a way to trust and recognise that our brand is truly operating in the interests of Australia.”
“We’ve seen a huge preference for supporting Australian business amongst our consumers. They understand the wider benefits that supporting local has on jobs and the prosperity of the Australian economy. Bright Spark Power is proud to wear the Australian Made logo and look forward to continuing to provide Aussies with Aussie power from a genuine Aussie business.”
