The GO LOCAL FIRST Campaign, run by COSBOA, is proud to partner with Australian Made to highlight and promote Australian small businesses producing goods in Australia.
This partnership will see GO LOCAL FIRST and Australian Made work together to help small businesses through the most difficult period since the Great Depression.
GO LOCAL FIRST highlights the role of small businesses in our nation’s economic recovery from COVID-19, and the need to support small businesses to keep local communities thriving.
Administered by the not-for-profit Australian Made Campaign Ltd, the Australian Made logo is Australia’s most trusted, recognised and widely used country of origin symbol, and is underpinned by a third-party accreditation system, which ensures products that carry the logo are certified as 'genuinely Australian'.
COSBOA Chief Executive Officer, Peter Strong said “The partnership between GO LOCAL FIRST and Australian Made reinforces the importance of Australian small businesses to our economy and will help promote businesses across Australia”.
“Small businesses are experiencing one of their most challenging times, however, they should be jumping up and down with excitement because together, GO LOCAL FIRST and Australian Made, want to ensure that businesses receive support from Australians right across the country.
Australian Made Chief Executive, Ben Lazzaro, said “Manufacturers of all sizes have been hit hard by the pandemic. By calling on Aussies to buy Australian, not only will we get products made to some of the highest quality and safety standards in the world, we can create local jobs and economic activity that will aid in the recovery process, while also strengthening our local manufacturing capabilities. Every dollar spent on locally made and grown products has a direct impact on the livelihoods of Aussie makes, as well as the wider community.”
“In nearly every product category, there is an Australian option, from furniture, bedding and health products, through to building materials, industrial products and office consumables. So, let’s leverage this unique skill-set on our doorstep to GO LOCAL FIRST.”
With the support of the Commonwealth Government, COSBOA has launched GO LOCAL FIRST, a six-month campaign urging Australians to choose to buy with small, local businesses and support the national economic recovery.
